Authors Last A Long Time, But....

Recommended Posts

I hate to link to Wiki, but a guy in my DP is a columnist and critic for horror and Sci-Fi mags, and says his industry friends are saying that author Tanith Lee died May 24 (thus the link). He and I--and now YOU--can look for a confirming link.

(Edit: Wiki is using Tor.com and scifibulletin for obits, but who the fuck are they? Surely it's true but Hoping for something better)

(Edit II: if the search function be true, Ms Lee is the very first 'Tanith' mentioned on DL :-)

If Tanith Lee is indeed dead: about time. What an endless load of drivel did she write.

I did not read her novels but her two episodes of Blake's 7 (Sarcophagus & Sand) were among the best.

Graham Lord former literary editor and biographer of those who you would think would not need one

Interesting. He created an "anti-Booker prize" for readable fiction. So both he and his literary opponent Ion Trewin die in the same year.
