The bands that he's played in read like a who's who of 70s avant-prog - Soft Machine, Gong, Bruford, U.K., Nucleus, Tempest ... Could have sworn he was a member of National Health and If as well but apparently not! SC Unfortunately! To lose John Wetton, Allan Holdsworth and Jaki Liebezeit and Holger Czukay this year has made 2017 every bit as bad as 2016. But to lose all these ageing prog musicians is hardly unexpected to be honest. What's been more surprising has been the deaths of guys like Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington... Well, I don’t think he’s in remission (unless you have some deep inside info I didn’t know about), but he’s been doing a lot of public appearances recently that probably makes him safe for the next few months. The "six months to live" bit comes from August 2016 and he got better (obv, still breathing!) enough to film stuff since.
