I don't understand her headline on the front page : is there any reference that I don't have ? I don't get it…

There would have been so many catching headlines such as : "the devil got his due", "she won't come home (a dying woman)", "She got caught" or "End of the Lynn" for example…

I like this one.

"Loretta not getting better" rhymes. Well almost. It depends how you say it.

There was a song from the sixties or seventies that went

Loretta are you better are you well, well well...

Edit: My memory failed me. The song is Rosetta and it is by Alan Price

I've previously suggested "Coal Miner's Rotter".

It’s literally just rehashing an older headline (in this case it’s reusing the one Etta James had). They seem to be doing more of that lately (Gorby rehashing Castro is another)…

If it's any comfort, I thought of that too.

As well as the late "Death Knell for Estelle" headline that was quickly replaced in April being Leah Bracknell recycling.

Figures one of the Muppet Show guest stars would die while I'm in the middle of marathoning it.

I just finished marathoning it. So many childhood memories.

Decided to use Chrome's "Inspect" tool in an attempt to write an obit before anyone complains.

You too, can do this if you know HTML (it'll only appear on that one tab and revert to normal when you refresh the page).

Worth noting that Loretta Lynn was the earliest inductee of the County Music Hall of Fame who was still living. She was inducted in 1988.

That title now goes to Willie Nelson, 89, who was inducted in 1993.

The other living inductees from the 1990s are Brenda Lee, 77 (1997), Bud Wendell, 95 (1998), and Dolly Parton, 76 (1999).

Loretta Lynn's first granddaughter, Lynn Massey, has died. Massey was said to have had a long health battle. Massey's mother, Betty Sue, was Lynn's first child. Betty Sue died in 2013. Lynn passed in 2022.
