That's terribly sad.

I lost my son in law, over a year ago, to a brain tumour.

He had it for 8 years, it was operated on, managed and kept at bay.

His last appointment, after a scan, was very positive, consultant was very happy with things.

Within 6 months he died in a hospice. 

My daughter is in her 30s and a fucking widow.

That's how it gets you, she's done well to survive this long.

Hopefully the treatment will keep her going a bit longer.

Life really is fucking cruel, innit.

If I was part of the Nolan family i'd be getting full health checks including scans every 6 months.
