Is this the first time that two members of the same band are DeathList hits? I think it is but I feel like there's an obvious example escaping me. Sinatra and Dean Martin come closest but the Rat Pack wasn't a band per se.

Kind of funny if so, you'd assume it'd end up being a massive group like the Stones or something, whereas the Nolans were moreso good at playing to the media.

Several members of the 1970 England World Cup Squad, who had a UK No.1 hit with "Back Home", have been hits, but they were known for something else.

Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis were both members of the "Million Dollar Quartet", but that was just a single jam session.

Some of the jazz musicians who made the list may have played together at some point, too.

Carl Wilson always seemed like a bit of a surprising omission from the DL given he was clearly on his way out from cancer by late 1997. The Beach Boys would've been at almost three hits if so (Carl, Glen Campbell, presumably Brian in the next few years).

I suppose given the primitive state of online deadpooling at the time though it's conceivable they just didn't see any of that stuff. The bigger surprise is that they never picked Joan Fontaine. Maybe she would've been a 2014 hit.

Could be - I was thinking Princess Margaret / QE2 could be an example but it looks like Maggie was missed.

I cut off 80% of the fat.

and yet still left “death can happen to anyone” as a quote from it boy, it must have been a bad click bait article. I wonder if Linda knew it was her last chance to advertise for us?

She died in 2013.

I'm aware, but I was saying given how late in the year she died, her near-centenarian status, and the fact Luise Rainer debuted, it's not inconceivable to me she came close to making an appearance on the 2014 list.
