Anyone else read her reaction statement the other day and think “that’s not her”?

Continually absent, always rumoured ill. I think she’s in a worse state than most ppl care to imagine.

Doesn’t she have Type 1 diabetes? someone in my local association mentioned it to me a while back, you will be more informed than me, if so that will be very disruptive to her life

Perhaps but I’m not referring to that. The Lab ppl I know say she’s got something like Parkinson’s.

She looked OK in the commons earlier I thought but if your people say parkinsons I'm inclined to believe them based on your history of inside knowledge.

She once went apeshit at me and a bunch of staffers to get out a lift because the division bells were ringing. We were all going the same way, moody cow. She definitely has a condition.

Don't quote me on Parkinson's. None of them seem to know for sure. They all implied it's some kind of terminal but slow degenerative thing, and one said "maybe Parkinson's". You can live for a few years with these things, you can live for 15 years with them. It's not worth the risk of putting her on DL.

Alzheimer's or dementia perhaps?

No. She's been having "episodes" in private. Whatever it is it's neurological. I spoke to an MP tonight after the above conversation and he said "I heard Parkinsons too". Whatever it is, she seemed to speak fine within the chamber the other day, so perhaps she has good and bad days.

It's now coming out that the internal disciplinary process on her finished months ago. Questions now being raised about why a decision has not been made on re-admittance or otherwise to the Labour Party. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c8vv4ep92y8o

Interesting sideshow to the Election, though I'm not sure CCHQ can make much of this.

CCHQ? What do they have to do with her disciplinary?

Nothing as you know - I just don't think it's a campaign talking point for Tories to beat the Labour Party over the head with.

The culture wars and political process points aren't going to cut through imo. I think people want to hear what can make a difference to their lives, not politicians' lives.

Blocked from standing for Labour. Will she stand as independent- or even appear more in public so we can asses her health.

No. She’ll stand because she wants to be an MP.

It’s not known if she will stand as independent. Many have speculated she won’t.

Yeah, she will - whatever the other reasons in the Labour decision you suspect it was discussed, but not written that their poll lead makes her and Jezza expendable and if they want to woo business that's a good look. She took over 70% of the votes in Hackney and Stoke Newington last time, what that'd mean if a Labour candidate chased them and she stood independently is probably too hard to call, the big curve ball being she's got to get out and show herself and that means form studying for the voters as well as us. Turns 70 in September, btw.

Yeah, she’s one of those who, in her particular seat, has likely outgrown her party. I wouldn’t bank on her, or (unfortunately) Corbyn losing their seats.

I'm sceptical she has as much of a personal vote in her constituency as Corbyn might.

Aye, a genuinely hard to call seat - and Labour taking it would be a Portillo moment to some.

Per ITV, she's had the Labour whip restored...

This is just incompetent messaging from Labour. Not that it will make a difference but still astounding.

I reckon Rayner fearing for her seat to The Workers Party threatened resignation to get Abbott back in to gain some credit with the left of Labour.

Although she could never say she did leaks are inevitable.

Rayner’s seat is only 10-12% Muslim. I can’t see her losing it.
