Mercedes Colás de Meroño, vice president of Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo has died aged 95.

The alive main people of Mothers and Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo are getting older. These groups got Videla behind bars.

Here's a list of some of them who are still alive:

Grandmothers:

Mirta Acuña de Baravalle (b. 1925) One of the founders of these organizations.

Rosa Tarlovsky de Roisinblit (b. 1919) One of the founders of Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo and current Vice President.

Beatriz H. C. Aicardi de Neuhaus (b. 1925?) One of the founders of Grandmothers

Estela de Carlotto (b. 1930) Current President of Grandmothers

Beatriz H. C. Aicardi de Neuhaus is deceased as per this page. Doesn't say when.

Alford Gardner, one of the last surviving passengers who arrived in Britain on the Windrush, reportedly dead aged 98.

Profiled for the BBC here and here, as well as  Channel 4 and The Guardian.

Now, when you say “one of the last”, how many others “ones” are we talking about?

Edit: Managed to have answer this myself. I see Gardner was one of two last survivors. But I can’t find a name for the other survivor. Anonymous?

2 down, 7 to go.

Good longevity for a group. 8 out of 9 of them lived comfortably into their 80s.
