lifeis... 4 Posted October 28, 2017 1963 is becoming even more distant from the present. Two men escorted Oswald to his fate - one of them is still alive but is 97! One of the few people to interact with Oswald after JFK's assassination and one of the links to the assassination that wasn't killed. An icon in pictures despite not being well known by name. Could be possibly doing well today (he was recently interviewed when Trump released the JFK files)...
Joey Russ 7,263 Posted October 28, 2017 As interesting of a person as he is, unfortunately he’s not really the type of person that the deathlist usually goes after...
Spade_Cooley 9,630 Posted October 28, 2017 UNKLE released a new album this year, don't think he's going anywhere.

And way beyond the reaches of having his own thread. Absurd. But thanks for signing up, lifeis... (assuming this is Life Is Beautiful--who also posted about Leavelle earlier), and then making your 3rd post a reboot of a discussion about Mr. Leavelle we had briefly in 'Possibilities for 2017' thread. Not every human is worthy of a thread, this one is absurd. Oh I said that already. SC
Joey Russ 7,263 Posted October 28, 2017 No, I don’t think it’s Life is Beautiful Sir Creep.
Death Impends 8,043 Posted October 28, 2017 Helpful metric to keep in mind with any future threads you want to start: Can you honestly see any updates on Mr. Leavelle besides "happy birthday!" and "dead"? Okay, maybe a semi-yearly "surviving link to Kennedy assassination remembers his interactions with Oswald" article. Certainly a fascinating historical link, but really not enough legs for his own thread. And no, lifeis is not Life is Beautiful, just a coincidence in names. 1
Sean 6,365 Posted October 28, 2017 Leavelle is a historical figure. Not a household name but everyone knows the picture of him.He will get widespread UK media coverage upon death and will probably get a mention on the news.I would say DL worthy.
msc 18,536 Posted October 28, 2017 A regular Joe only known for failing to do his job properly, if you think about it. Not DL worthy in the slightest imo!

charon 4,943 Posted December 12, 2017 Another one still alive from then is Clint Hill, now 85. He was the one sprawling about the car when JFK got shot. Interview with him from 2.30am r5.

deadsox 894 Posted December 12, 2017 Leavelle has been a pick in our Death League for some years now since our only qualification is "have you heard of him/her?" but I would agree that he doesn't meet Deathlist standards.

Sir Creep 7,071 Posted August 30, 2019 I know we have all experienced this a few times, but nothing worse than being the person who introduces a quality name to DL, and after 2 years goes by you don't have the person on a single DP, only to watch them die and you get nothing for the effort. No thanks at all. Jim Leavelle is the second such person for me in about a month. RIP mate. SC
YoungWillz 21,205 Posted August 30, 2019 Attention obviously now swings toward 85 year old Bob Jackson, who took the now famous picture of the Oswald assassination.
