Two very similar names, two very, very different songs:

Listening to Paul McCartney's new album "Egypt Station". Mostly harmless, but a couple of really good songs. Time flows by quickly, until you realize the album is still on. It maybe contains 2-3 tracks too much.

Personally, I think it's got about 16 tracks too many.

Architects new single is out. Hereafter. Along with an announcement of an arena tour next year and announcement of an album being released in Nov. You can't help but wonder when these guys got this big. Deserved though.

He was involved in the original then got bumped.

Old people like me remember this.

There are, shite versions, of him with mick Jones etc.

Aye, I was just reading about him and the Clash on Wiki. News to not so old me! :D Heard that version c 2011-ish, none of my friends seemed to have heard of it before.

As seen reported by Spade elsewhere, apparently he's suffered the Curse of Deathlist (ie someone brought up randomly who swiftly snuffs it soon after)!

Had the 12" of Wonderland when it came out, good speakers, decent arm, pricey needle.... Fucking sooperb.

* aye, in Edinburgh at the time, but decent arm/pricey needle isn't what you think cuntos.

That and "Atmosphere" by Joy Division meant I always wanted 'good qualiry' HiFi until I was 25 and realised you no longer hear the top end from 21 .....

Life's a cunt, but good memories :)

It was only a couple of miles, a normal "proper" walk.  About an hour though because I saunter, and stop to look at stuff.

He's only a little JRT, but they'll go all day if you let them.  He didn't get a walk yesterday because it was raining, so owed him a decent outing.  Have a big garden so missing the odd day isn't crucial, but he does love his walks.

The old ipod shuffle is great though, because it fetches up all sorts of random stuff that I wouldn't think to put on, and it encourages me to go further because of the constant surprise element.  Sure @Deathray would agree.

@charon  Planning to see Big Country next month, that's if my mate has remembered to get the tickets.

Nice to see some other Big Country fans. The Crossing is probably one of my favourite albums.

@ not work for me toastie.

Big Country gave me possibly my best and worst concerts in a 7 day period.

Xmas eve gig at The Playhouse, they didn't want to be there. Utter shite.

A week later on Hogmanay and fucking Hell, magnificent.

Up there with SLF or The Alarm as the best gigs I was at.

Yeah nope that's one of several set play-lists I have for walking the dog / random country walks etc. If I'm going to shuffle anything I use google play's radio or shuffle one of the play-lists which are extremely loosely grouped by a small number of sub-genres - shuffling an entire music library - especially one as diverse as mine - is a recipe for constantly pressing skip.

People with internet.....

New phone is only 8 months old, and I have not moved any music on to it at all.

Rather stick on World Service if in internet range.

Sad to say but I cannot be fucked with music much anymore, yet I'd stick £20 in a juke box whilst earning £150 a week back in the day.

Its a cunt getting old, yet 'liberating'.

I resist the temptation to skip, unless it's something I've heard a million times or very recently.  I find a lot of unappreciated gems that way.

I don't always have internet on the phone, you can download the play-lists from google play to an SD card for listen offline - useful for out in the sticks/long train journeys.

I do podcasts, but I've 64 gig memory, and a 6,000 mah battery.

Fuck SD cards, who needs them?
