Yeah 84 was the last landslide.1936 and 1972 were notable too.

I'd say 88. Bush Sr won 426-111, had a seven million vote popular lead and won forty of the fifty states. Landslide for me.

Anyhow Trump might not have won a landslide but he did win absolute - electoral college, popular vote, Senate and House, all his.

1952 1956 and 1964 were also landslides.

I don't think we will ever get a true US landslide like the ones mentioned last century.Too many states that are firmly blue or red.For example I can't ever see California ,Hawaii,Washington ,New York,New Mexico,Connecticut,Illinois Colorado Vermont ,Maryland or Massachusetts ever going red again and conversely I can't see Alabama ,Arkansas ,Texas,Wyoming,West Virginia ,North or South Dakota,Oklahoma,Tennessee,Louisiana, Kentucky ,Indiana or even Florida going blue again.

I agree with @Sean  We are too much of a divided country.  I guess though if the right candidate came around, I could see Florida going blue at times. I still see it as a swing state even if in the last elections it went red.  It would have to be some kind of special person that can get republican and democrats to vote for the person in a landslide.  Nobody in politics today I see as such a candidate

OK.... AND.? I do not see the big deal.. First pic he has a fresh haircut and the person that put on his make-up should be fired.  Second His hair looks like it needs a cut and no make up.

I don't think it's even a matter of a haircut. He's just windswept in the second pic.  He looks livelier in the second one, too.

Basically just needs to top up his tan and comb his hair in the second pic.

Can’t see him troubling us for a few years yet.

I wish people would stop calling it a landslide. It just wasn't and it, republicans want to make their mandate seem broader than it actually is:

By either reckoning, his margin over Vice President Kamala Harris was about 1.6 percentage points, the third smallest since 1888, and could ultimately end up around 1.5 points. (New York Times )

I agree with you that presidential pardons are unjust though.

Harris is the first Presidential candidate since 1932 that failed to flip a single county.

You heard that right.

Not, even, a single, one.

In today's polarized political environment that is a definitely a landslide.

PS: Even Mondale in 1984 flipped some counties.

Ik term of swing states carried, yes. It's hardly Reagan 1984 though. Nobody called it a land when Biden won 6 out of 7 battleground states...

Umm, probably because it wasn't: it was by far the tightest election since 2000.

Biden won by a combination of 42k votes scattered across three states (GA, AZ and WI). A simple 0.05% switch from blue to red in the electorate would have given Trump a second term in 2020.

There's a reason it took almost four days to call the election.

I love how someone in here was saying something about the "the orange faced man in charge" and THIS is the next reply.

The second picture looks AI-generated though.

Surely the kid won't be born in under 9 weeks?

Funny you would conflate conception with notifying the press of a pregnancy. Any other insane remarks or predictions?
