charon 4,943 Posted March 21, 2019 Re reading the Babylon 5 thread and thought 'box sets' not good enough for this show. Peter Vaughan is probably the highest profile so far in my mind to pass, but with a rich and varied cast it will be many a year afore they're all deid. Interesting to remember the Dragon wifie had 2 brain aneurysms around 24 https://www.newyorker.com/culture/personal-history/emilia-clarke-a-battle-for-my-life-brain-aneurysm-surgery-game-of-thrones 1
Toast 16,140 Posted March 21, 2019 Roy Dotrice is another casualty. He was originally cast as Grandmaester Pycelle, but ill-health forced him to withdraw. He did appear in a couple of episodes as the Pyromancer. Also narrated the audiobooks. The actors who played Ser Denys Mallister and Old Nan have also died. runebomme 377 Posted March 21, 2019 it would have been good to have a competition who dies first the character or the actor but it would have only worked if they all had been over
Ulitzer95 12,639 Posted March 22, 2019 7ft 8" Neil Fingleton who played Mag the Mighty died in 2017.
Toast 16,140 Posted March 22, 2019 But Wilko Johnson (Ser Ilyn Payne) lives on! Mind you, I think a lot of viewers think that he died.
paddyfool 379 Posted March 23, 2019 I put Max von Sydow (who played the three eyed raven) in my silver screen team, but that was purely for the appropriateness of the seventh seal as a film for that pool. No reason to suppose he's on the way out, as he's looking very spry despite pushing 90.
One shot Paddy 1,206 Posted March 24, 2019 Just back from walking the dog and bumping into them doing a bit of filming in the woods. I've no idea who the two girls fighting were (don't watch it) but I don't think they will be popping their clogs anytime soon. I do know that the blonde one with the sword has a quare arse on her!!!

'Game Of Thrones' itself has finished filming, with the final episodes due to be shown from April 14. But what you saw could be something to do with the spin-off prequel series, title as yet unconfirmed.

I thought they were probably getting a few extra shots for editing as there was only a cameraman sound guy and the two girls, if they are filming big stuff you can't get near it. I have no idea, but it's too late for it to be part of GoT. Although I suppose it could be something for extra features on the DVD/bluray.

paddyfool 379 Posted March 25, 2019 If it was a really small crew, perhaps it was actually somebody else? Fan flick, maybe? Or a comedy spoof?

YoungWillz 21,050 Posted May 24, 2020 Due to HBO freeing this one up so I can watch from the start, I have begun watching this. At Season 5 now. Tbh, my major issue is trying to keep track of who all the folks are. "We said his/her name once, that's good enough!" I'll say this, probably one of the best opening titles I've ever seen, especially tailored to the relevant episode. Otherwise....too many tits.
