I've only just seen the disagreement over sticking 'Happy Birthday to..' people in threads where Toastie thinks they shouldn't go and, personally, I agree with her.

So, as noble as it is for GC to recognise that some people are still alive out there to have birthdays to celebrate, maybe they can all be put in here.

This should satisfy all, everybody and nobody in equal measure.

Gooseberry, this is your very own place on here.

Enjoy.:D

Aye but you cannae say 'Happy Birthday' in it, can you!

Your one is similar to the one where somebody is surprised to find that a certain famous(ish) person is actually still alive.

That's my excuse.

according to Wikipedia, Gary Brooker was born in 1945, which makes him 75 today, the same age as racehorse trainer Martin Pipe.

Changed it thanks

I don't know why I put 70, I knew it was 75 :old: senior moment perhaps.

Blimey, I'd have thought Martin Pipe was older than that.

Not many people seem to have noticed, I guess over the years he's slipped off the radar.

Peter Yarrow shares a date of birth with former deputy PM John Prescott, who suffered a stroke around a year ago.

Also, Clint Eastwood is 90 today.

John Prescott has been very quiet since his stroke, and there's been sod all news on his recovery. When I tried to make discreet enquiries about it (as Big John is one of the few politicians I actually quite like), it was solidly rebuffed as being private. Which makes me think he's in a bad way.

You know, call me crazy, but I think OoO's "Robert Powell should go on the 2014 DL" post in 2013 might have been a Scott Thorson Gambit special. :D

Gerald Scarfe looked like fucking shit on BBC4 last year btw. Somehow Brian Cox (the unhealthy Scottish actor version) has made it to 74 too.

Pat Boone is 86, remember him with his jazz/gospel cover of Holy Diver:

Finally, nowhere near death yet, but somehow I'm now in a world where Jason Donovan is 52.
