My 18 year old nephew said the exact same thing whilst we were watching the news last night. They must learn to understand one of them has committed acts of atrocity against scores of innocent victims and the other is Rolf Harris.

Yeah, and he also comes with the bonus of ironic humour for anyone who plays their dead pool joker when picking him next year.

No bullshit, I was discussing Rolf with a fairly young person about an hour ago and she said; "Is he that guy from KFC?" Our favourite fried chicken outlet may just have landed itself a marketing problem!

If so, he should be able to move quickly - he has the advantage of three legs!

Well at least he didn't ask him where the toilets were.

I don't know. Who the fuck are JP and BD? For JP, think dark-furred canines. I have no idea who BD is either, though. If JP is who I think you're suggesting, that'll go down like a l.... This could mean that BD is a typo and should read DB, due to the story of the groupie (LM) who lost her cherry to DB aged 13 before her "relationship" with JP at age 14. I'm not condoning underage nookie but there's a big difference between a consenting groupie who has boasted of her celebrity conquests in the era of free love (man), and the victims in the Yewtree cases. Or I could be barking up the wrong tree entirely.

Before any libel suites from mega-rich musicians come my way, I just think the guys in question are a bit dodgy nothing more. I don't think they've done anything criminal, just normal band and fan interaction, and I am not privy to any industry insider information so take my posts with a fat american in McDonalds' dose of salt..

This may not be the right place or time to discuss this but I am interested in your comment. How is Dutch justice perceived? Who decides on the guilt or ortherwise? A few years ago it was suggested by Jack Straw to limit trial by jury in certain complex cases and the reaction this provoked was as though he had suggested barbecuing kittens. I understand the arguments for being tried in front of your peers but we need to look at all options and experience of fully developed democracies that cope without the system should be allowed to inform the debate. If, for example, you put a truly heart-rending case of assisted suicide before a jury, the chances are the defendant will be acquitted, even if they said they did it when giving evidence. A bench trial would almost certainly find them guilty. Although it doesn't happen very often, a jury can ignore a judge's direction. Probably the most famous case being Bushel's Case which resulted in a commemorative plaque being placed in the Old Bailey. It says: "established the right of juries to give their verdict according to their conviction". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bushel's_Case

Lets hope so , i think that certain popstar is prolific as Savile was. TBH I don't, I think Savile was a reptile so low the only thing that turned him on was breaking a taboo. The "beloved popstar" is more plain in denial. I doubt he has rings made from the glass eyes of the dead etc. Or that he did his dead dutchess when she finally popped her (very ancient) clogs. "Duchess"? I do hope you don't mean one of The Stranglers, cos I'm going to see them next week Apparently "Duchess" was what Savile called his mum. I know. I was joking.

I'm lead to believe its homoeopathy that's keeping him going - regular beef injections.

My mate played on the session for his hit version of Stairway to Heaven. It was a shit job, the music is in the key of C but Rolf kept slipping into A minor. Oh, aye, there's my coat.

"Many activity features for children by ROLF Himself" So, we were warned, then?

It's going to be a non-brief history of time that you're waiting, I think. Er, I hope anyway. We'll be truly fucked when that guy goes and we're left with Brian Cox.

Stan Lee Media's latest lawsuit against Disney has been dismissed. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/thr-esq/disney-defeats-stan-lee-medias-622517 I know it's not too relevant to his health and all that but anything that'll liven this thread up is welcome.
