    Jim Leavelle

1963 is becoming even more distant from the present. Two men escorted Oswald to his fate - one of them is still alive but is 97! One of the few people to interact with Oswald after JFK's assassination and one of the links to the assassination that wasn't killed. An icon in pictures despite not being well known by name. Could be possibly doing well today (he was recently interviewed when Trump released the JFK files)...

    Nigel Kneale & Judith Kerr

Watching The Quatermass Trilogy on DVD a while ago, I found out writer Nigel Kneale is still alive (b. 18th April 1922). Judging by the documentary features, he can't have long left. Bright and alert in footage shot in 1993, he looked old and frail on the other made in 2004. And to be honest, he doesn't seem to have done much writing for TV in the last 10 years.

  23. I say: former Grand duke Jean of Luxembourg for DL 2010! I mentioned him before at the ideas and possibilities thread, and the man is not getting any younger. Not the hottest debated royalty, the Luxembourgers, but a dead royal always stirs some attention. Former Grand Duke Jean is now 88 years old, and has been looking more and more frail over the last couple of years - especially after the dead of his wife Josephine-Charlotte in 2005. He has had a hip replacement last year and is said to recover slowly (according to the always well informed Royal Forums - they're the only ones who give a f*ck).

    Burt Reynolds

This is the place to discuss Burt Reynolds the 79 year old actor who has suffered from back trouble and also has had major heart surgery and pneumonia over the last few years but looks like he is far more seriously ill than he is publicly disclosing in recent pictures. http://www.closerweekly.com/posts/burt-reynolds-is-determined-to-stay-strong-as-he-struggles-with-illness-59198 Certainly one of ours for next year?
