He’s a bit of a cult pick here, but he might end up being crucial to a few matches. alt obits guy and msc gets their first points in their tie, the latter of which becomes the first team to cash in their joker. Additionally, HDS extends his lead to Clorox to 6 points, which makes it possible that we see our two time semifinalist get knocked out here. Finally, Grim also gets his first points for his tie. Unfortunately for him, Spade also got his first points as well, making his death ultimately moot in the grand schemes of things. It does however mean that this is the first tie where both members has scored points. Wormfarmer 427 Posted March 20, 2021 On paper I have already handed the win to Quim this round, but here we are entering the final third of the month and still we are locked into a 0-0 battle. I would like to say that I had every expectation the Prince Philip and Peter Lorimer were going to survive the month, and it is next month that I will put them on my list and score the points. But it was mere oversight that I missed those two (although I did have Prince P as an alternate). I still give Quim a big edge, but at this point all I need is a hail mary on one of my solos, and I have a good chance at moving on to the next round. Joey Russ 7,220 Posted March 20, 2021 Lorimer was an extremely popular pick unsurprisingly. Indeed, a whopping 20/32 folk in this round chose Lorimer as their joker. So instead of explaining every single matchup that scores, I’ll just go through the one where there’s actually a bit of a shakeup. We begin with Yorkshire vs CalebH, where originally it looked like the banker might scrape on through with a classy Trevor Peacock hit. However, Yorkshire didn’t have Lorimer on him, which allowed CalebH to take the lead in that match. Msc was one of the few that didn’t joker Lorimer, but since grobler didn’t pick him, msc actually expands his lead to 12 points. Then, it looked like with none of the popular picks going, markb4 might have been able to last another round. However, Lorimer dying really dampens his chances as maryport takes a 6 points lead. He’s not the only draw that significantly changed though, as Wormfarmer and myself are also now behind 6 points and are really hoping for a miracle to last another round now. Finally there’s the two matchups of Reptile vs BabyBlue and DDT vs Annami, where in both matches both of them score, but they didn’t both joker him. For the former, Reptile expands his lead even more to a 10 point lead. The latter has Annami claw back a bit of DDT’s 11 points lead, though that lead is still 8 points.
