Slave to the Grave 26 Posted February 7, 2005 Random trivia about Patrick McKnee. He was brought up as a girl oh and his mum was a lesbian. Yes it seems he had an eccentric family. His father was apparently a drinker and gambler who finally drove his fed-up mother into the arms of 'uncle' Evelyn, a lesbian with an enormous house. The young Patrick went to live with his mother and her new friend and was made to wear kilts until he was 11 years old (I don't think he was actually brought up as a girl). He seems quite fit and well as far as I can gather and is, according to his website, actively pursuing personal interests: 'In his spare time Patrick enjoys bird-watching, desert reclamation, and preventing terrorism! (He received an award from the Bureau of Federal Aviation for preventing terrorism on aircraft). ' Obviously still thinks he's in the Avengers then.

msc 18,389 Posted January 1, 2012 Patrick MacNee is 90 and has had two strokes in the previous few years. No idea on Randi's present health, though he has had cancer and heart issues in recent years.
SalmonMousse 25 Posted January 1, 2012 love the costume http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Patrick_Macnee According to wikipedia (so must be true) - Macnee is an avid nudist, sometimes to the dismay of his friends and co-stars: He once invited Honor Blackman to watch him play tennis in the nude, an invitation she declined. Health status generally not reported on, is he actually ill or just 89?
Spade_Cooley 9,464 Posted January 1, 2012 Macnee is one of the few celebrities to have been raised by a lesbian couple. Him and 50 Cent.

No idea on Randi's present health, though he has had cancer and heart issues in recent years. I'm "glad" (strictly in the context of deathlist you understand) to hear that because when I saw his name on the main lost my first thought was that he's probably as healthy as you can get in your eighties and almost counted as a sort of spoilt ballot on the list. BrunoBrimley 86 Posted June 27, 2012 Every so often now and then I think about Macnee. When I was younger I for some reason used to get confused at the name Macnee and think of the actor Patrick McGoohan who has been dead over 3 years now. Perhaps it had something to do with both The Avengers and The Prisoner being shown on local airwaves during the same time period. If a rainbow appears I will know that it is a sign that Macnee has died.
