Cor blimey guvnah. It’s another bleedin’ Kill or Save. The seventeenth edition, in fact!

 

Big milestone hit: we’ve sifted through every single UK No.1 from before the current decade! A grand total of 1,362 chart-toppers, seven of which now with a Kill or Save title to their name. Now it’s time to have a look at some more songs which fell just short of reaching the top spot in the charts, and for now we stick with the time the Official Singles Charts all began: the 1950s.

 

We had a whale of a time voting up and down some absolute classics (and absolute crocks) from the distant past, eventually culminating in Bobby Darin’s version of Mack The Knife emerging victorious in a closely-fought finale. Off the back of this pretty extraordinary game, we arrive at this next lot of chart hits from this golden sepia era, and…oh dear. Hope your expectations weren’t heightened too much by the last lot
