This thread really brings the fight to World’s Oldest in the hotly contested “shittest thread on the site” category.

At this time of the year they do have to defend the couple against disgruntled deadpoolers who see their team chances slipping away

We all joke about how long he can survive, but the end is certainly near.

It really will be the end of an era and I'm not looking forward to it. The longer he troads on, the longer I can pretend our grandparents/parents generation isn't drawing to a close.

It has been for many years. Like at least 25. I've known a few agents in my time, and to get on a Carter detail is always a highly requested assignment because it's quite chill while also technically still counting as Presidential Protective Experience (or PPE), which is usually required for promotions.

In some ways it was harder being how accessible Carter had been to the public like his regular Sunday school classes. I attended one and it was interesting to see how quick and efficient the Secret Service was in getting the public through admittance to the sanctuary, always polite, thorough and professional.

For some reason, Guillermo Rodriguez's date of birth has been edited from 1924 to 1923. That may be reversed though.

Doubt it will be changed back. 1923 is sourced from two books. I don’t think 1924 was ever sufficiently sourced.

Whether he is actually still alive or not is up for debate on there.

Why on earth should the death of a 17-million country former president not be reported?

Moreover we got photos of him from late 2022. The guy is very much alive.

Stop getting so angry over nothing drol. It's not good for your blood pressure.

Re-read by post, I said his living status was "up for debate on there" i.e. on Wikipedia. I'm not the one questioning it.

Stop shooting the messenger. You did this earlier with thatcher too.

I am almost sure they are wrong, but funny how this link says: "he died quietly in 1988".
