Despite the political machinations clogging up the news media it's gratifying to see the Daily Telegraph amongst those covering the death of Florrie Baldwin...........and bringing in the dead pool bacon for those of us who picked her on a team or two.

According to the BBC news site American scientists have developed a method to predict what chances individuals have to live beyond 100. We need to know more about this. We also need genetic information of our favourite celebrities.

Hein

Smoking seaweed, dipping snuff, and an occasional shot of whiskey will get you past 100, easy.

Tokyo's oldest citizen goes missing.

This explains why Japan has had such a good record for long life. Turns out they just have a very bad record of benefit theft. :)

Winnie Langley, "Britain's oldest smoker" dead at 102.

Somebody's reading this website and informing newspapers, I'm sure of it. It's almost as if the Deathlist forum is a news gathering agency for stiffs!

She was only mentioned yesterday and she died on July 27th. I had her listed in the List of the Lost and ready to be uploaded.

Then wham! The Torygraph come up with the obit...

Congrats to whoever picked her!

Means updating the monthly figures too... :banghead:

Has anyone done the "Hey, why does Britain's oldest person keep dying, must be a dangerous job? Eh? Eh?" gag in this thread yet?

Queen Annie is dead, short-live Queen Elsie

At her 110th birthday, Steele recited a poem by Pam Ayres about the joys of old age.[3]

We'll, she's dead inside already at least.
