It's a typo. Was the 20s of course. Still plenty of A-list tennis players born in the early 30s.

American tennis player Hugh Stewart (Wikidead at 96

 

He played his collegiate tennis at the University of Southern California and won the doubles title at the 1951 NCAA Tennis Championships partnering Earl Cochell and the following year won the singles title at the 1952 NCAA Tennis Championships.

 

At the Pacific Coast Championships in 1953 he was a doubles runner-up with Enrique Morea to Tony Trabert and Vic Seixas.

Federer's former coach, and player on his own, Peter Lundgren dead at 59.

 

Never mentioned here, but from a quick search he had a long history of ill health.

Chilean tennis player Luis Ayala dead at 91. He was the runner-up in 2 Roland-Garros finals and was the first Chilean to reach the top 10 in the world rankings.

 

He was also picked in the Hare's deadpool this year.

In fact, this was the third year in a row that @DeathByArsenicpicked him in the Hare's pool. One of those brilliantly random picks that the Hare's throws up, and that leaves me scratching my head and wondering how the player came up with them.
