Dr Hackenslash 25 Posted January 24, 2006 That would be a good way to go. But, sadly, I lack the fame of Shagg*r Hull and Emu.
Lady Die 63 Posted January 24, 2006 Good old Rod Hull, native of the Isle of Sheppey. He died while trying to get illegal emu porn by altering his tv aerial on his roof. Apparently he was holding the aerial with one hand while stroking himself with the other. Or it might have been the Champions League football - but that's too boring. Watching Man Utd is enough to make anyone want to kill themself.
Dr Hackenslash 25 Posted January 24, 2006 Football, of course. Who can forget Jock Stein, whose Scotland team qualified for the Mexico 86 World Cup as he died from a heart attack on the touch line. Not as funny as Scotland's dismal performance in the World Cup, mind.
Dr Hackenslash 25 Posted January 25, 2006 Okay, this isn't a death as such - but it is the greatest headline ever written. Banana sentenced for gay assault "Although Mr Banana has denied being gay, his defence lawyers argued during the trial that consensual sodomy should no longer be considered a crime." And that is the greatest paragraph ever written by the BBC.
Magere Hein 1,400 Posted January 25, 2006 "Pumping is the devil's pastime, and we must all say no to Satan," Ratchasima concluded. "Inflate your tires by all means, but then hide your bicycle pump where it cannot tempt you." Classic. I haven't seen that story for a while, it's brilliant. regards, Hein

Slave to the Grave 26 Posted January 28, 2006 Quite a few strange ones here. I particularly liked this one: 'A burnt corpse and scuba gear was found in an extinguished brush fire near the Laguna mountains. Upon investigation, it was found that several ariel water drops were made to the fire, one of them including a scuba diver. He was scooped up, dropped a few hundred feet and then burned to death while putting out a brush fire.'

maryportfuncity 10,646 Posted March 19, 2006 Read on the digibox news about a few deaths and several severed limbs when a tv stunt backfired in Uraguay. Does anyone - like - know if it was broadcast and, assuming some DL ghoul fancied a butchers (heh heh) at the footage, is it likely to appear online?
Windsor 2,233 Posted March 19, 2006 It will probably appear online sooner or later. You even get tapes of beheadings fresh from Iraq these days...

I'm actually suprised Bin Ladin and his bitches know how to use a video camera of any kind! I can imagine them toying with it for hours unable to find out how to get it on record... maryportfuncity 10,646 Posted March 19, 2006 Dunno if it'll appear online, none of the reports say whether the cameras got the full footage and/or if it was being broadcast live. Obviously in the case of the latter it'll be all over cyberspace cos someone will have recorded it. There are several televised deaths either wiped for good or never shown again. I think we've had this discussion on the F1 thread with regard to the death of Jo Siffert in 1971, harrowing footage of his burning car and a fire marshal in floods of tears were broadcast at the time. The footage has never leaked from the BBC and the old Pathe newsreel is grainy and lacking those pictures. There was also a fatal shunt in - I think - 1982's British 500cc motorbike Grand Prix when a plucky back marker from Northern Ireland called Tom Hennan lost his helmet and smacked into the tarmac. There was a fleeting shot of the bouncing helmet and they cut the shot to the bikes touring round. The BBC had footage of that which was I think handed over the accident investigation and then destroyed.

I can imagine them toying with it for hours unable to find out how to get it on record... Well, if we believe the story that your "government" are so fond of repeating ad nauseam, Bin Laden and his bitches were clever enough to outsmart your entire domestic security infrastructure back in 2001. Had you forgotten already, New Yorker? The rest of the world is having a hard time forgetting it. The easiest way to lose a war is to underestimate the enemy. I have never heard of an Irish rider of that name, may be a mix of Tom Herron (GP rider and friend of my dad, killed 1979 north west 200.) and Pat Hennan(Gp rider, badly hurt 1979 IOM TT.). The only Ulsterman killed at the British GP at that time was Norman Brown (1983), sounds like his crash.
