Recommended Posts

What are you not telling me?

If I told you that, I would have to kill you.

Again.

Again.

That could be a pleasurable or at the least a memorable experience

should I dress any particular way for the occasion?

Norman Vaughn

Last surviving member of Admiral Byrd's 1928-1930 Antarctic expedition.

Perhaps not famous enough, but he is planning on climbing his mountain in Antarctica for his 101st birthday.

Do I even have to speculate? ;)

If my 101 year old great grandfather were to suggest that, I'd shove him in a home.

(P.S. I don't have a 101 year old great grandfather).

He has his own mountain?

Nothing to do with the 1960s comedian/presenter of the same name then.

Perhaps there needs to be a companion thread "people you thought were alive and turned out to be dead"

In my case, Lloyd Bridges. :ghost:

Not knowing that Robert Stack was dead until about a year later was what got me into all of this.

Even still, I just found out the other day that Jonathan Adams was a goner. :ghost:

I didn't hear he died untill about a month later. I admit I

found his "Unsolved Mysteries" amusing and I didn't really

think he looked 84 years old. :ghost:

I miss the new editions of the show but atleast

there are reruns.

He's dead now, I guess that mountain will stay Vaughan free.

I wonder if he was anybody's DDP choice.

Does this emoticon answer your question TF? :P

You can laugh even more when you learn who my sub is, a man I chose not thinking that anyone on my list would actually die before 2006.

I chose him on the same impulse that made me choose Vaughan though, so who knows...

He was on my DDP preliminary list as well,

Oh well I'll have to think of a replacement.

Good luck with your sub, I hope they're not too much of a wild card.

Max Splodge is still alive....an achievement at 46 given how often he's been pissed and how much piss (as in the stuff he excretes) he's drunk. If he offers to donate a kidney to you....just say no!

Genarians.com is wondering if actress Norah Baring is still alive...

I wondered that meself. Reason being is her "birthdate" - 1 Jan is always the most supicious one as way back someone may just've put that in to fill up two spaces in a database if they only had the year remaining.

She was born Norah Baker, and looking at the British census, it looks like she was born in Plymouth. No record of her death, but she may've died years ago. (ie 1970's).

For what it's worth, I think she is still alive, but as she's on my DDP long-list, I'd love to know for sure.

Good rant against IMDB, by the way. A good word to the wise who trust that site.
