Richard Gordon Guindon, 86, died the evening of Feb. 27 in Northport, Michigan, after a long illness.

Guindon’s six-decade career began at the university’s Minnesota Daily, where he penned a cartoon that was described as “social commentary a la Jules Feiffer with a bite.” In New York, he was a regular contributor to The Nation, Playboy, Esquire, Down Beat, and one of his favorite gigs, as an underground cartoonist for Paul Krassner’s The Realist. That led to syndication at the Minneapolis Tribune and later brought him to Detroit in the early 1980s. Guindon retired from the Detroit Free Press in 2005.

Christ on a Cross - Clive is a foot taller, half brother perhaps?  Phil suffering from Dwarfism?  Very odd indeed.

James Bama 1926-2022:  James Bama, a legendary and super talented American Artist/Painter, who painted Doc Savage, Frankenstein, the crew of the Enterprise and so many other fantasy/sci-fi subjects, has sadly and unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022, leaving his entire family, close relatives, and groups of friends in total devastation and sadness.

You might not know the name but if you grew up in the 60s and 70s you know the work.  He did the artwork on all the old Aurora Monster kit models as well as hundreds of pulp and magazine covers.

Everett Peck, the creator of Duckman, has died aged 71. One of the shows my parents watched in the day.

Apropos of nothing, the only reason I know that show ever existed is that it used to, like all USA Network stuff, be hyped up on-air during episodes of WWF Monday Night Raw in early 1997.

Duckman definitely an underrated great, may have to watch some over the weekend. #2 late-night animated series of the 90s for me, behind Dr Katz
