Actress Mary Riggans has taken the high road. Our younger viewers may know her as Susie Sweet from Balamory.

Isn't that yet another TTHR actor to snuff in the last year or so?

There's been quite a few died in the last year or so but Mary Riggans was one of the most well known. I know Balamory is supposed to be a kids programme but I'm not ashamed to say I used to watch it as an adult.Mrs Hoolie was my favourite :)

Seen a couple of suggestions on-line that Edna Dore has died aged 93. I can't find any links though.

Wikipedia has her down as dying on 01st April (????) and it reported that Paul O' Grady announced it on his Radio 2 show on Saturday.

But there is nothing in any of the other media outlets as far as I can see.

I'm pretty sure she will get a proper obit eventually as she was a very recognisable actress...

I had High Hopes that Edna wouldn't last Another Year as I included her on my DDP team.

If this is true then I am 3 x (1/20)

Just listened to Paul O'Grady's show on iPlayer and that counts as a qualifying obit...

An obit for what? One's self-respect?

Well when I said listened, I just skimmed through to find the piece I wanted on the 72 minute mark. I don't do these things for fun, you know...

Who is the oldest Eastenders cast member left?

Is it Leonard Fenton (b.1926)?

June Brown was born in 1927 but is the oldest current member of the cast. I was trying to think of those that were in it at any point.

Elizabeth Kelly (born 1921, turning 93 in May), who played Nellie Ellis, is the oldest former Eastenders actor I can think of
