There doesn't seem to be much information about him apart from he recently appeared in a movie called "Fellini's Donut" Not sure how much of a role he had

The again he played the baker in the movie so perhaps that should be roll ;)

He was a good footballer in his day, just a shame he's turned out to be such a crap manager. At least Newcastle have Alan Shearer in charge at the helm.

Probably the best they could have asked since Keegan

It's a shame Newcastle got rid of Bobby Robson. On that subject, how's he doing these days?

he's 73 in a couple of weeks and I've heard he's accepted another managerial post, but I can't remember who it's with

Has Jack Charlton retired or has he moved on to another team?

Blimey, Grandad, do you not recall the reign of Mick McCarthy...Roy Keane in his pomp...isn't it...hmmm..."Stick it up your bollocks, you C-word. You're not even Irish"...Great days.

I vaguely recall Mick McCarthy, isn't he manager of Sunderland now?

I remember meeting Frank McLintock at a charity match. oh one highlight I had was taking a penalty against Peter "The Cat" Bonetti :P

I wouldn't have any idea, I don't follow football, the last football match I saw was when Chelsea beat Stuttgart 1-0 in the final of the European Cup Winner Cup. That must have been 7-8 years ago now. I didn't have to pay for the ticket either, I only got in as I was on holiday in Stockholm and one guy had a spare ticket as his friend got arrested the night before during a punch-up at a local bar.

Talking of football, how about Sol Campbell as an outside bet? Suffering from depression, and has mysteriously disappeared due to "a big worry in his private life". Very strange...

That is strange, I wonder what made him vanish like that

Contro i know but hey....

Hardly Controversial, they've all been suggested before,

with the possible exception of 'Big' Ron, who is unlikely to drop dead in '07.

Of your little list, I'd say Hawking would be the best bet.

don't know if he's famous enough but:

Ray Barreto is not in a good way. That fellow Torres died last year with barely a mention, which is why some of these musicians can go either way.

Or is he more well-known generally? I've never heard of him, maybe some here have...

His wikipedia entry makes him seem famous enough in the United States, but I'm not sure he'd be eligible in Britain.

Perhaps a better one to watch for Hartlepool perhaps...

He'd be a shoo-in for a broadsheet obit. Quite the Latino star, Mr. Barreto.

According to wikipedia former WWE wrestler John Tenta (aka Earthquake, Avalanche, Shark, ect.) has cancer and is close to death. A former sumo wrestler, Tenta's cancer and obesity has to make him a good thought for 2007. Assuming he would get a British obit, of course.
