maryportfuncity 10,686 Posted September 1, 2019 Interesting little piece on the BBC about "Fatty" Foulke - legendary BIG goalie. Actually, most of the stories about him - including him being the origin of the "who ate all the pies" chant, are likely bollo https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49392889

Nah, I've been hitting the gym - we need someone larger! In all seriousness the biopic problem would be casting someone who could look convincing across the age range of Fatty's career. For a big lad he played a long time.
YoungWillz 21,242 Posted September 2, 2019 Both Rangers and Celtic have been handed charges re sectarian disturbances in the past few weeks. Of course, the SNP used to have legislation, legislation which (despite some flaws) kept this sort of thing to a minimum. However, having had that legislation criticised by our sectarian polis and judiciary and ultimately repealed by a coalition of Labour, Tories, Lib Dems etc with nothing to replace it, here it raises its ugly head once more. What are those opposition parties also in favour of? Bringing back alcohol to the football grounds. Awfully good show Unionist arses.

DevonDeathTrip 2,366 Posted October 26, 2019 I'm not really one for football tribalism, but, even so, I thoroughly enjoyed watching the mighty Exeter City put a woeful Plymouth Argyle to the sword this afternoon. The biggest derby victory since 1925, 4-0 and they were lucky to get nil!
