They had some ridiculously young people on sometimes.  I remember how my mum used to scoff.

'"This Is Your Life"?  S/he's barely begun his/her life.'

Twiggy, for one, did it when she was mid-20's at most, so she might turn out to be the longest liver from TIYL to pegging out.

Dicky O' was in the news last month - complaints Amazon Prime was promoting soft-core porn films he was in. During the 1970s, not DVDA with Norman Wisdom and co at Brinsworth:

How massively fucking stupid.

They were shit then, they are shit now.

Badly filmed, badly acted and atrociously written, they were never taken seriously and they should not be now.

It was a child of it's time, you cannot erase it, it's all part of societies learning curve......or summat.

If this is new (and I can't vouch that it is, stumbled across it on a Facebook trivia page) then Dicky O is looking in pretty good nick.

He looks like a normalish man of his age. Why has he been in a care home for 20 plus years?

Im guessing his standard of care re Covid 19 is better than in most care homes?

That's a comforting thought.

It's more a private members' club than a care home, is it not?

He remains one of the greatest British actors of his era. Not for his acting ability, which was what it was (and what was needed back then), but for never knowingly not bedding at least one of his co-stars in every performance!

Aye, he doubtless had many strokes before he had his stroke, or summat

Guessing he made enough money to see him through to the end in comfort and couldn't be arsed with the 80% of everyday life that is tedious and/or shite for the average man about the house.

I'm assuming the unfeasible enormity of his wad plus the A' list access to to showbiz events played a part in his legendary pulling power

The Happy Birthday thread was created precisely for the reason of celebrating birthdays in, rather than nudging an individual's thread, creating a moment of excitement followed by crashing disappointment when it was realised it was said individuals birthday, rather than deathday.

Havng said that, I have been known to celebrate my own birthday in multiple locations...

Obviously I would not wish to be accused of "nudging" an individual thread . It's just that I feel that there are two threads that are simply sacred. The Special One (whose name needs to be whispered in awe...oh how I miss her) .....and of course Richard.....

Looks rather thin on that photo, obviously the non stop shagging must be taking it out of him.

Tomorrow is Richard O'Sullivan day yesterday, i.e. today. Actually make that tomorrow is Richard O'Sullivan day the day before yesterday, i.e. yestreday, as its just turned midnight.

Or simply, Askwith's tweet is dated 9 Dec, so RO'S day would be the 10th.

It would appear you're right about the cricket though. Thank god there's no Aussies frequenting these boards these days.
