It's actually an impossible list to complete.

Clive's immortal - come a nuclear war all that will be left are cockroaches and old Dunny.

Don't panic, mind.

Hackenslash, that Wikipedia entry has now been modified to get closer to the truth. Clearly, he didn't disappear from the screen until 1984 when they cancelled the show.

I would love to know how the show was cancelled in 1984 as most of the cast were dead by then...

It ran from 1968-1977.

I think you'll find mpfc was referring to this show.

Grandad, fair enough.

Thinking about it...an man pretending to be a grandad figure when he is actually younger.

Then that man disappears abroad for years and is hardly ever heard from.

Perhaps Dunny should re-realease Grandad as a duet with Gary Glitter.

what a foul slur on dear old Clive.

You've tainted his thread by mentioning the name Gli**er.

Some up to date health news on Clive Dunn, he's suffering from eye trouble and hopes to get treatment.

Perhaps now that he's heard about the article in The Sun, he wants to see it for himself?

You don't think this could be the beginning of the end, could it???

Eye trouble is often the first sign...

...of excessive masturbation?

Well, he must have won those medals for something.

"Permission to fetch a tissue, sir?"

One hopes not, but gain strength from Sir John Mills. Eyesight really started failing early-mid 80's. Died aged 97. In that case, old Dunny has bout 15 years yet.

I hardly think eye strain is a sign of the grim reaper knocking on :skill2: the door...

Very true about Sir John.

But 15 years for Dunny?

Perhaps the cheap wine is preserving him.

that would certainly be a long running stint on DL if Dunny is with us for 15 more years

Mr Dunn is very much alive.

Although his eye difficulties have not been reported on since the original mention.

He seems a bit reclusive these days, I wouldn't expect too much in the way of news.

Failing eyesight is a poor indication of overall health. Stevie Wonder is alive and well and coming up 56 years of bumping into furniture. Clive's nowhere near Dunn yet.

But Wonder has always been blind - a degradation in eye-sight could be a symptom of many potentially debilitating illnesses.

Or it could be just old age.

I for one would be happy if Dunny kept dodging the reaper for many more years.

I would also be more than happy if Dunny made a century.

But I would love him to make just one more TV appearance in an outrageous role, in the same way I want Steve Davis to win just one more World Snooker Title before he retires.

How about a late night special of "Last of the Summer Wine" with Dunny guest starring as a Tourettes sufferer.
