That’s the accepted position title, and also the only way of spelling the word, as far as I’m aware. In the grand scheme of things, it’s not particularly important, admittedly. But seriously, they call them defense (sic) and offense (sic) but say they ball is turned over, the team run down the pitch as defense and score (it happens occasionally). That makes them the offensive team? I've always thought these terms as fluid, though maybe I was just being silly for the sake of it.
harrymcnallysblueandwhitearmy 1,684 Posted September 27, 2023 Yes, I can see the justification of sic after ‘defense’ or ‘offense’ because they spell it differently. But ‘defensive’ is universal. And defenders in ‘our’ type of football (the spherical one) can still score. Anyhow, Go Pack! All we need is Love (Jordan). I’ve probably confused you and everyone else even more now. msc 18,421 Posted October 3, 2023 Two bits about Russ Francis that Diego didn't mention. He won the Superbowl in 1984. I feel like every superbowl winner is a guaranteed DDP QO nowadays, which wasn't the case a few years ago.
