diego 1,990 Posted October 30, 2023 Ismael Delgado was born on December 5, 1929 in Aguada, and died on October 9 at the age of 93. He represented his country in the 4x400 meter relay at the 1956 Melbourne Games, where he was eliminated in the first round. Also revealed this week that Portuguese sailor Francisco de Andrade (wiki) died in April 2021, aged 97. He was listed as living up until yesterday so was presumed to be a centenarian. Francisco Andrade was also the oldest known Olympic sailing medalist, who now happens to be Pierre Girard, who was already the oldest living Swiss Olympic medalist.
