He's dead but I don't know how he died (apart from not breathing).

It just shows how popular he was :)

I excually didn't think a best director winner would die this year.

(I.m not following the Pollack Hype)

He was a journeyman, unworthy of an Oscar. I can't believe The English Patient won 9 of the things (scuppering Fargo along the way), while Truly, Madly, Deeply was just irritating twaddle in middlebrow clothing.

I hear ago 2 minutes that this f*****g guy is half-responsible for The Talented Mr Ripley. This is the worst film I ever saw and it is the reason I decided not to like my girlfriend who made me watch it. It was an insult to every good film what was ever made. I'm glad he died, now nobody can be making such terrible film again, I hope. I think Matt Damon is also half-repsonsible; maybe he could comitt suicide now his friend is dead? Hurray for no more such sh*t films. I never saw the English Patient, maybe that was shitty too? Like Titanic.

Speaking of The English Patient would a fitting funeral for Minghella involve Ralph Fiennes weeping loudly whilst carrying Minghella's body wrapped in a sheet out of the hospital and down to the crem?

It would be even more fitting if he came back as a ghost and try and get someone to sleep with Michael Maloney... :)

and everyone on the South coast has heard the infamous story about Fred, a hamster and a trip to the local A&E.

Just goes to show the calibre of fans chavvy Pompey maintain.

Hate the way the media call people by surname only.  It's especially confusing when there are mentions of other family members.  So much clearer to use forenames, and it seems more respectful.
