The good news is (or not, depending...) that he's home (also according to Twitter sources) and was taken to hospital as a precaution. After leaving Aberdeen for Stoke City, he played 91 times for The Potters in three years before moving to Oldham, Sunderland and then Middlesbrough, retiring after a spell in Australia with Juventus Melbourne.
