MarcJWallace 270 Posted June 25, 2021 Full-back Eleazar Soria, part of the Peru squad that won the 1975 Copa America, has died aged 73. He won 29 caps for Peru between 1972 and 1978, playing for Universitario and Sporting Cristal in his homeland either side of a spell with Independiente of Argentina. He won six Peruvian titles, four with Universitario (1967, 1969, 1971 and 1974) and two with Cristal (1979 and 1980) But perhaps his greatest honour at club level was winning the 1975 Copa Libertadores with Independiente, a squad that featured the not-too-long departed Agustin Balbuena.
