Death in Vegas

Tragic news from Germany this night, as 3rd-tier promotion hopefuls SSV Jahn Regensburg have announced the death of 25-year-old winger Agyemang Diawusie.

Diawusie began his career in the RB Leipzig youth system, being loaned out to Wehen-Wiesbaden before leaving to join FC Ingolstadt.

After another loan at Wiesbaden, he moved on to East German heavyweights Dynamo Dresden, where he played 30 times before a move to Austrian side SV Ried that didn't work out for him.

He returned to Germany to play for Bayreuth in the German third tier earlier this year before securing the move to Regensburg, who had been relegated from the second tier last season.

Wanderley Paiva, Brazilian who was capped 7 times for his country has died aged 77 from prostate cancer. Obit (In Portuguese).

Best thing about this guy is that he had 40 managerial appointments in 30 years. Neil Warnock's a rank amateur in comparison.

German Rolf Geiger, who notably scored VFB Stuttgart’s first goal in Bundesliga in 1963, has died aged 89.

With Stuttgart, he won the 1958 DFB Pokal (German Cup).

Capped 8 times with West Germany, he was selected in the Unified Team of Germany for the 1958 Olympics and played their only game in the tournament, a 2-1 defeat against USSR.

Just give me a reason. Why do you have to report here every fucking death you read on Wikipedia?

I'm sure you can find many activities more interesting than this, and this is not setting the bar very high.

I only post those with international caps and/or British. He was unusual because wiki says he has caps but offers no details of them.

Keith Burkinshaw (Spurs manager 1976-84) spotted watching their match today versus Newcastle. Looks pretty good for 88. Can't be all that many people who managed in the top flight of English football in the 1970s still alive. I can think of Lawrie McMenemy, Gordon Milne, Ron Atkinson, Alan Durban, Tony Book, Wilf McGuinness and Burkinshaw. There must be a few more but not many.

Gordon Jago, George Eastham, Richard Dinnis, Frank Sibley, Frank McLintock, Johnny Giles and John Barnwell also from a very quick search.

Usmon Toshev (58 years), born in Bukhara, Uzbekistan RSS. was a professional football player and coach. In 1994 he played two matches for the Uzbekistan national team, as a coach he worked on the Tajikistan under 23 and main team, and Uzbekistan under 16

From what I saw, he is the first coach of the Tajikistan national team to die, it is a relatively new team, their first game was in 1992

Zdeněk Zeman, who turns 76 in May, is back managing Pescara for the third time in Italy's third tier. No obvious health issues at the moment, but as a chain smoker with a clear work addiction, this is someone who is clearly going to Jock Stein on the touchline within the next five years.

Zdenek Zeman hospitalised after minor stroke.
