 Whilst he was still at Leicester (well pre-covid) there was an incident where the club had to issue a statement saying he was in hospital but everything was OK

From a BBC article about him last week:

Relatively unusual to get curable neurological issues to the extent mobility is affected. Treatable yes but curable less so.

Bongi Ntuli was born in Pietermaritzburg and died at the age of 32 on 5 November in the same place, he was a South African professional football player who played as a striker, he also played for Mamelodi Sundowns among other teams, he died of a rare form of cancer, His last football game took place just seven weeks earlier, on September 17, 2023

Adrian Webster was born in Colchester and died aged 72, as a player he played for Colchester United, Seattle Sounders among other teams and coached some teams too, such as Arizona Condors, and Brightlingsea United,Colchester United.In the USA he played against Pelé, George Best and Bobby Moore.
