Peter Kunter was born in Berlin and died at the age of 82, he played as a goalkeeper, spending most of his career at Eintracht Frankfurt, he also played for Freiburger FC, between 1977 and 1979 he was vice-president of Eintracht Frankfurt and from 2001 to 2005 he was a member of the board club administration.

Ersen Martin was born in Marktredwitz, West Germany and died in Izmir at the age of 44, he started playing for 1. FC Nürnberg in 1998–99. After that single season, he moved to Turkey, going on to represent Beşiktaş JK, Siirtspor, Göztepe AS, Denizlispor and Ankaraspor, Sivasspor, Manisaspor. Martin suffered an aortic rupture in May 2022 and remained hospitalized until his death on 19 March 2024, when he died at the age of 44. He was the top scorer in the Turkish Cup in 04-05, and the top scorer in a more recent edition of that tournament to die, the one in a more recent edition had been the Ghanaian Robert Eshun, top scorer in 1999- 2000 and died in 2023

He had previously Stage 4 throat cancer and a GoFundMe was opened for him a couple of years ago. Despite all that, unnoticed here and on the DDP.

Orlando Avarena dead at 81. He was the manager of the Chilean national team in the late 80s, when they finished runners-up in the 1987 Copa America and, much more famously, were banned from the 1994 World Cup after goalkeeper Roberto Rojas faked being hit by a Brazilian fan's flare and cut himself open with a hidden razor in an attempt to get a 1990 WC qualification match abandoned.

António Pacheco was born in Portimão, and died at the age of 57 in Faro, Portugal, played for Portimonense, Benfica, Sporting CP, Belenenses, Reggiana, Santa Clara, among other teams, also played for the Portugal national team, was coach of Portimonense between 2004- 05

He is the coach of the most recent season (1987-89) of the Chilean national team to die, before it was Luis Ibarra, who died in 2013 and coach in 1986

Serhiy Shevchenko was born in Kherson, and died at the age of 66. He was a Ukrainian football player and coach who played as a striker, played for Krystal Kherson (coached that team too), Sudnobudivnyk Mykolayiv, Grănicerul Glodeni among other teams and coached Meliorator Kakhovka, Sevastopol among other teams, his last club was Mykolaiv in 2021

Lamin Bangura, a Sierra Leonean defender who played for his country at both the 1994 and 1996 Africa Cup of Nations has died in a bus crash aged 59.

Six players from the side he was coaching (Ports Authority FC) were injured in the crash in Konta Line, as the team travelled from Freetown to Kenema for a league game.
