Lord Fellatio Nelson 6,218 Posted May 6, 2015 Well my grandparents were in four different nursing homes over 12 years or so. Ahh, nursing home savvy!! I can see Mary seizing the opportunity here and doing a Bill Sykes by getting you to break into Brinsworth House and the like to go and open the front door for him. He will be up and down the corridors making notes for hours. Top work lads, you've just reminded me that I came across a 'client' at work today who has his own Wiki page, not a guarantee of an obit I know, but I think he'll get one somewhere - now, how can I ensure the old git hangs on till January 1st, because I'd bet my boots he'd be a unique pick for Lard! Do you normally come across your clients????????

Sean 6,327 Posted May 7, 2015 I knew of someone who had a mild claim to fame who was really unwell but ultimately never put them on any of my lists as it just didn`t feel right. When he did die last year he didn`t get a qualifying obit anyway.

Deathray 2,940 Posted May 24, 2015 The important bit of this article(http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/ve-day-dame-vera-lynn-5664876) for our purposes: Now 98 and increasingly frail, she will not be able to attend tonight’s VE Day concert on Horse Guard’s Parade or tomorrow’s Service of Thanksgiving at Westminster Abbey. Guest badtothe bones Posted July 6, 2015 when she does pop her clogs it would be nice for waters and gilmore et al to gather together in bands to sing "Does anybody here remember Vera Lynn Remember how she said, That we would meet again, Some sunny day. Vera! Vera! What has become of you Does anybody else in here feel the way I do" I'd almost forgotten about them lyrics. I mus be gettin old.

Weebl 216 Posted March 20, 2016 And of course, there's the Pink Floyd song. Vera. I bet Roger Waters didn't think she'd still be alive in 2016 when he put that song out in 1979

Your Grandad clearly a man of taste Shaun - she looks blooming amazing for 80, let alone 99.
