Lusitania isn't a bad name at all, she could choose to be Lucy or Tania.

Lusitania was the ancient name of Portugal, maybe this woman was Portuguese or had Portuguese origins ?

I think you are right, her father's side of the family are of Goa Portuguese origin. The name makes a lot more sense now, thank you.

A former Bulgarian footballer named Ferario Spasov died in a traffic collision.

I guess his first name didn’t bring him luck…

Jordan Pop-Jordanov or Pop-Jordanow (researchgate, wikidata) Macedonian nuclear physicist, WWII partisan, member of the Yugoslav Communist Party Central Committee, professional tennis player, expert on renewable energy and full member of the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts has popped his clogs at 98.

Interesting that researchgate profile that goes from nuclear physics to sustainable energy, to ADHD, postpartum depression, climate change and stress.

Indonesia not Philippines. Pontianak is in Indonesian Borneo (aka Kalimantan) and the equator goes through the middle of the city.

More of a "fitting" name than a "what a name", but what would you call a 6'10 Canadian basketball player who dies aged 33? Chad Posthumus.

According to my sources in Winnipeg, he died of a brain aneurysm which he suffered during training.

Of COURSE his uniform # is (.)(.)

“A right-hander with an unorthodox delivery” that could describe any one of us when confronted with those things…

I hope whoever insisted on his number is proud with themselves because that's a damn fine idea they had there.
