Should be a top prospect for DL 2009. I really don't have the falkin room for him on my DDP team but I'll have plenty of Alzheimers selections anyway so I'm not losing any sleep over it...

I've grown into quite a cynic when it comes to Falk tales. Since the last media onslaught accusing him of mentalism turned out to be a plain nasty stitch up, with bored paprazzi picking on the 80 year old to generate a saleable reaction. Scum. Besides, even if it is true, Alzheimer's not going to kill him - and he can afford that round-the-clock care.

He's been placed into conservatorship.

Is that a bit like the dying room in Soylent Green where they put Edward G? Nice. Edward G, Charlton, now Falk - essence of Hollywood in a little can.

I don't know if that was a Alzhemiers joke or not - but I'll answer anyway.

An oldie but goodie that came round on an e-mail at work yesterday:

Benefits of having Alzheimer's disease

5. You never have to watch reruns on television.

4. You are always meeting new people.

3. You don't have to remember the whines and complaints of your spouse.

2. You can hide your own Easter eggs.

1. Mysteries are always interesting.

And if you're a married man, you can make love to a different woman every night.

If you can remember how.

A client (who suffers from Alzheimers) popped in our office last week and remarked on the size of our secretary's chest - "Wow, you've got big boobs, haven't you?" (for which his wife had to apologise on his behalf).

The good thing about Alzheimers is that you can get away with that sort of thing. The bad thing is that 5 minutes later you'll have forgotten.
