Death Anniversary Thread

Recommended Posts

Its 20 years since Paul Eddington died from skin cancer, aged 68.

Paul_Eddington_2.jpg

That means it's 20 years since lost my virginity. I remember hearing about Paul Eddington's death the morning after far better than I remember the sex. I think Marti Caine died the same day.

Also checking out on 4th November but different years were Wilfred Owen and Dominique Dunne.

For a moment there I thought you had a celebratory bonk when you heard of Paul Eddington's death

Today in 1977 French comics editor and writer René Goscinny died at age 51. Presumably he's best known for his collaboration on Asterix, with Albert Uderzo, who is still infesting the world with new Asterix comics of no particular entertainment value.

Ils sont fous ces français.

Already mentioned in an earlier post, but one that deeply saddened me when he passed away in 2005 at the age of 76

Varda the eek on the omi below!

Hugh_Paddick.jpg

He's Julian and he had a friend called Sandy.

Amongst many other things, they were lawyers in a company named Bona Law, where criminal practice took up most of their time. (Well it was the mid 1960s.)

Julian – aka Hugh Paddick – died on this day in 2000 aged 85 and he was (and still is due to the recordings we are left with) fantabulosa!

P.S. He wasn't naff either!

How could you have missed Victor Sen Yung who died this day 35 years ago aged 65? Without Hop Sing the Ponderosa would have fallen apart.

Film producer Dino De Laurentiis died 5 years today aged 91. He was responsible for such understated cinematic outpourings as King Kong, Orca, Dune and Flash Gordon. But to be fair he did produce Blue Velvet which gave the world Dennis Hopper as oxygen mask breathing Frank Booth.
