Columbus Blue Jackets are confirmed Johnny Gaudreau has passed away ... Fuck ...

apparently he and his brother were struck and killed by a drunk driver while they were biking.
they were both in Salem County to be groomsmen for their sister Katie's wedding, which would have been held 4 hours from now.

i can't even imagine what their family is going through

Let’s not bicker about who killed who.

A wedding’s supposed to be a HAPPY occasion!

Finland's first openly gay pro Ice Hockey player, Janne Puhakka, was shot dead by his ex-partner on Saturday. Puhakka is a contender on the current season of Finland's version of The Traitors, Petolliset.

Also surely the first contestant from any of the international versions of Traitors to die. I believe it's now in almost 30 countries.

All over the news here for the last two days. I've seen a few of his interviews on TV in the past years, he seemed like a very nice and kind young man. Very sad.

26 to date plus the Russian ripoff version. Plus regional varieties like the Quebec variant. Janne had made the final of the current Finnish season, that episode is now suspended indefinitely from broadcast.

I'd heard the news yesterday through the Traitors fan community but assumed arghton would post a major Finnish death. Anyhow he seemed like a nice chap and he was very young, it's just horrific.

Afaik first contestant to die. Some have vanished from the public eye but are almost certainly still alive like Angus McNicol.

Was killed using a legally owned gun, which is pretty damn rare in Finland to my knowledge. Not a lot of gun crime in Finland, much less gun-related murder.
