Gisooo 3,314 Posted May 2 I don't know what to say, there is no death date for him in Accurint. I think that FamilySearch is not at all reliable due to the fact that it is recently listing many death dates of people with Wiki (one of them is the actress Joyce Taylor who surprisingly died in the same year as Paul in 2022?). I wonder if it is something reliable why doesn't it list the full date of death but only the year?

I'd be surprised if he died without any notice, but I guess its possible. There is a Facebook post wishing him a happy 98th as well from the airport. I'll do a full and thorough search tonight but in the meantime: @Gisooo anything on accurint? Paul Goldsmith was born on 2 October 1925, in Parkersburg, Wood, West Virginia, United States as the son of Edward Goldsmith and Maysel Geraldine Henderson. He had at least 1 son with Helen. He lived in Zanesville, Muskingum, Ohio, United States in 1930 and Columbus, Franklin, Ohio, United States in 1940. He died in 2022, in Griffith, Calumet Township, Lake, Indiana, United States, at the age of 97, and was buried in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, Lake, Indiana, United States. There's an interview of Paul uploaded in 2023, I don't know when it was recorded though. Paul himself claims to be in good health though he looks horrible, barely able to open his eyes. Ulitzer95 12,584 Posted May 2 I don't believe he's dead. Family Search and geni have been causing a lot of trouble lately. The latter seems to be the source of the Jane Morgan death hoax.

To be fair he's done 3 things that usually attract the kind who will do it for life (race car driver, pilot and business owner), so with that in mind it is understandable why he would want to keep going.

Looks awful and as mentioned on the FB post has been unwell. Definitely one to watch. Would get a QO even if it's the Sports Personality round up. Only 66 but looks far older. I've been keeping this to myself for a while but it's now becoming clear Rupert Keegan's chances of reaching 2025 are pretty slim. He's very ill with cancer, but he has also never lived a very healthy lifestyle. Certainly worth considering for the Deathlist Cup, and if he makes the 1st January, he's going right in at the top of the DDP picks.

It seems a lot of these old racing sites that used to put up obits of sorts have closed down or simply stopped getting updated. All these announcements come through Facebook now, which is less than ideal given that Wikipedia is getting even stricter as of recent with regards to sourcing from social media (which in this day and age is not practical for the reason I've just outlined). Oldracingcars.com still updates for some drivers but it's often been queried if it's a genuine source. It's basically the racing Hugmans so it should be okay. That said Walker is not updated on there yet.

Waiting for next Ryerson update tomorrow and then if nothing in there, it might trickle through. To be honest, Walker suffered from "Lotus 2nd driver syndrome". Look at Taylor, Spence, Arundell, Miles, Oliver, even Graham Hill to a degree. All pretty much given inferior equipment to Clark, Rindt and Fittipaldi, despite Chapman's protests they were in equal machinery. But not scoring a point in one of the quickest and most iconic cars of all time still doesn't look good. He was quite brilliant at Formula 3 level, but maybe Formula 1 - especially in one of the top seats - was a step too much.
