Octopus of Odstock 2,187 Posted January 7, 2010 He changed it to Nelson Mandela Must Die in 2008, but he didn't & then they didn't compete in 2009 (probably in a huff because of it). Not sure if they are back for 2010, but I know when I was still running it, then were emailing to say they were interested in the 2010 game...

Not got him in my DP but i just wish he would die. Well his career might have done... I don't want to give too much away before the big reveal (sometime tonight folks!) In the meantime, let's revisit The Dying of 2010 - the top ten deadpooling candidates as chosen by the great unwashed: And at Number 8 is... Billy Graham Wherein lies your answer as for who as taken the title of 'Must Die' for 2010...

Lard Bazaar 3,799 Posted January 8, 2010 Another year of disappointment for Lard? How dare you sir! Just to be pedantic, it says on my team that my best performance was 138th in 2007 - I actually MULLERED that position last year by hitting the dizzy heights of 101st. Do keep up

DevonDeathTrip 2,358 Posted January 8, 2010 Well done TMIB - I'm pleased with five unique picks, hopefully at least one of them will come up with the goods. Mrs DDT is mortified that someone else has picked Anthea Turner, she's convinced her number will be up this year.
Tomb raider 9 Posted January 8, 2010 A wonderful job, MIB! I'm quite happy with my three unique picks ánd of course with my joker (Jean of Luxembourg).

I have to say I was surprised to find 7 uniques in my team - I would have assumed that Snowdon, Holm and Hoggart would have picked by others, but there you have it... I'm quietly confident this year that I will be top ten.......well, actually, let's be honest - I've got more chance of getting scuttled by Daniel O'Donnell. But I got one unique pick! But jolly well done for getting it all on so quick.
Going Underground 74 Posted January 8, 2010 Great work TMIB My mate says he recieved an email last night saying site was up and running. I didnt get anything myself. Did an email go out to everyone?
Magere Hein 1,400 Posted January 8, 2010 Well done, TMiB. My team's got four unique picks, I'm surprised to learn. Nice write-up on Miep Gies. DL, it's not just entertainment... Will you be needing assistance in finding pretty pictures of new picks? regards, Hein
Tomb raider 9 Posted January 8, 2010 Not too difficult to guess which celeb is no. 1 in TMIB's countdown...
Twelvetrees 10 Posted January 8, 2010 Horribly, I seem (by a mixture of holidays, illness, BT internet and lack of flexibility) to have missed DDP this year by 40 minutes. However FYI, my choices that would have been 'Wake Up and Smell the Coffin' this year are; 1 - Joker - Abdelbaset al Megrahi 2 - Colin Dexter 3 - Rev Billy Graham 4 - Ronnie Biggs 5 - Licia Albanese 6 - George Whitman 7 - Yunus-Bek Yevkurov 8 - Kim-jong il 9 - Peter Ackroyd 10 - Wayne Thiebaud 11 - Hans Werner Henze 12 - James Grout 13 - Reg Simpson 14 - Trevor Bailey 15 - Roy Tattersall 16 - Inge Borkh 17 - Lisa Della Casa 18 - Doke Umarov 19 - Thwan Shwe 20 - Blanche Thebom I wouldn't have won, and all the best to whoever does. Slave to the Grave 26 Posted January 8, 2010 Bravo MIB for such efficient posting up of the teams. The fact that I have such a large number of unique picks doesn't surprise me in the least as most of them will probably still be alive in 30 years' time. themaninblack 2,112 Posted January 8, 2010 Great work TMIB My mate says he recieved an email last night saying site was up and running. I didnt get anything myself. Did an email go out to everyone? Yes but the Outlook server is doing it's usual thing of not sending it out! Later on I'll copy the message and send it through Yahoo, but first, I must add another team which I over looked in the loading process *sigh*...

Guest Hmm .. Posted January 8, 2010 There are some very impressive teams this year. But still, they probably won't be able to outmatch DL's finest. It seems that quite a few teams from last year are missing. Do you know of any teams who have changed their names?

I don't know what's happened to some of the contenders from last year. Godot we all know about. He has retired from dead pools and the like. Ethnic Cleansing, Heaven Knows, No Noose also no shows... Still, opens things up, doesn't it?
Garn2 34 Posted January 8, 2010 Not to mention the actual DeathList.net entry... Anyway, a fair few theme teams this year. "Wretched Hive Of Scum And Villainy" is the pick of them I think. On that subject, TMIB, for your records, it could be a massive coincidence but I'm fairly sure "Can't Sleep, Clown Will Eat Them" is a Simpsons theme team. I'm sure Godot is still taking part, TMIB Actually, I think Ethnic Cleansing will be in DDP 2010 as I've uncovered another couple of emails. They were late, but within my absolute deadline of 11am 01/01... Deathlist will be there too, as there is a 'gentlemans' agreement... In fact, bollocks to it, deadline or no deadline, I'm going to put in the ones who came in after 01/01 as well, because I have knickers in a twist over this one... Spead the word, I'm open to entries until midnight tonight. After that, then definitely, definitely no more.... Twelvetrees...yer in!
