Fort 0 vs Inverurie Loco Works 6

If you're going to end a run, end it in style, I say.

Aye, but Rothes lost by the odd goal in five, ten points adrift of the Fort and they (Rothes) have a mere 18 left to play for. Still the best season in living memory.

Next game on Wednesday against Clach.

Any idea how the swimming pool/pitch is looking ahead of that clash?

Full time ended up with a 3-2 defeat. We scored in the 90th minute to level it at 2-2 then Clach ran up the park from the ko and scored the winner.

Gutted!

Carlisle surged into the 93rd minute against Shrewsbury a few weeks back with a 1-0 lead, and lost 1-2.

Seems like a good place for swimming races. Bit nippy, perhaps.

It's right at the bottom of Ben Nevis, so when it rains there's a lot of water to drain down that way.

Yes, that's true. I also see that Fort William receives an average annual rainfall of 1883 mm. That's more than double the amount Rotterdam gets (856 mm).

Would it not have made more sense to put the pitch the other side of the lake?

It would make more sense to snag a 3G pitch and/or put a roof over it. But that'd need more money that Highland League teams are likely to see over a season.

Just dig a one foot wide, one foot deep trench a few yards wide of the side lines round the pitch so that the turf can better drain the high surface water table. Oh, and get some more worms.

It's waaay behind shinty in terms of appeal, that 'should' get any cash going.

And deathray, don't think "lake" has been overlooked ;) , ya cunt

Tonight's game away to Rothes postponed. Guess it's not just Claggan park that gets waterlogged.

Had they won that the Fort would have doomed Rothes to being unable to catch them!

Aye, and it's a - vs Rothes - biggie that may confirm the Fort's inability to finish bottom this season.

The season is currently scheduled (for the Fort) to grind on until 2 May, which is when proper English teams - you know, like Carlisle United - knock it on the head too.

So, a win confirms Fort finish higher than Rothes. I know it's damn near certain already, but this is the Fort we're discussing, right?

Yep! And it finished in a 4 all draw after being up 4-2 at 60 minutes.

Fort 14th, and on the second page when you look up the table on the Digbox but Rothes can't catch 'em now.
