Goodnight Vienna 2 Posted January 1, 2006 Tony Curtis..... he did a great impression of "Cary Grant" in "Some Like It Hot" and snogged Miss Monroe. Hung around with Roger Moore for a few years in the 60's and fathered Jamie Lee and Kelly with the Psycho lady and a few others with a few others! Was quite a handsome devil too.... Tony Curtis Just for those who dont know him! Regards VIENNA xxxxx

Godot 149 Posted January 2, 2006 A shame he lost his hand in the Vikings. Or was it up his sleeve all the time? I think, as in the film, he will outlive Kirk Douglas
Banshees Scream 110 Posted January 2, 2006 A shame he lost his hand in the Vikings. Or was it up his sleeve all the time? I think, as in the film, he will outlive Kirk Douglas Not a bad thought since they are a decade apart. Kirk Douglass had a pretty bad stroke back in 2003 I believe but made a miraculous recovery which also led to leaving him behind and not counting him in on the 2005 list. He also recently lost the more un - popular son due to depression the root of his death which grew into drug addictions which caused it. Although Godot you think Curtis will outlive Douglass but I say perhaps Charles Heston fails to live outlive neither of them! They are all good DL selections and i'm sure we shall get a rip at atleast one hollywood actor this year.
Death Watch Beatle 41 Posted January 2, 2006 An old boy I worked with for many years had a favourite joke which I will now share with you (please understand he was an old boy and the joke was vaguely funny around the mid '70s): Man having haircut at the barbers Barber: How would you like your hair cut sir? Man: I'd like a Tony Curtis please. Barber: Very good sir. Barber spends next 10 minutes clean-shaving mans head. Man: Good God! What have you done? Don't you know who Tony Curtis is? Barber: Of course I do - I've seen "The King and I" 3 times! DWB
Anubis the Jackal 77 Posted January 3, 2006 Showing my age somewhat, I remember the protagonists being John Travolta and Telly Savalas.
Guest roberto Posted January 4, 2006 But i think the point of the Tony Curtis joke is that he made some movie in the 50's and his hair style became the rage for men. A lot of men up to that point wore brush cuts, so they let it grow and would go into the barber and say 'cut it like Tony Curtis'...
Guest J Posted January 6, 2006 Tony Curtis may have outlived Kirk Douglas in The Vikings but he wasn't so lucky in Spartacus.

Guest Jarod Posted January 19, 2006 lol. Yes, I wish there was an edit feature on this site. I've seen him on camera several times over the past couple of years including a couple of interviews and he looks and acts extremely healthy. Just by looking at him you probably couldn't tell that he's anywhere near his actual age.

Odd that you would call three posts "again and again", and then make up a bunch of stuff that I never said. Yep, too many idiots on this site.
