Thatcher 2,386 Posted January 15, 2017 Seah Chiang Nee, a Singaporean journalist, has died aged 77. He was the first South-East Asian to undergo a heart transplant, in 1985, and was also one of the longest living survivors of a heart transplant. He worked for Reuters 1960-1970, providing coverage of the Vietnam war. It is more that his liver could go into spasm at any moment and kill him.As this is a complication of the cancer it is likely that will get him first. Sean 6,313 Posted February 13, 2017 Just listening to Steve Hewlett`s latest Eddie Mair interview.Still in the Royal Marsden but is looking to go to a hospice but it is difficult to know what type of care he would need as his prognosis is so uncertain.Lucid to a point but trails off.Voice is increasingly crackly and almost slurred at times.
