time 8,598 Posted December 31, 2011 Three teams safely despatched, one regular and two themes. I was successful with 10% of my selections this year (12.5% if you count the one that died in 1991), so hopeful of a better showing next year. Happy hunting to all participants! deadsox 894 Posted December 31, 2011 I'm working on a Low Countries theme team. It's not at all easy to find picks who'll pass the obit requirements. I also need a catchy name. regards, Hein De(ath) Lage Landen? Dutch Treats?
maryportfuncity 10,646 Posted December 31, 2011 Reet, I'm in with TWO theme teams and the annual Carkers Convention main team. Let battle commence, eh?

Magere Hein 1,400 Posted December 31, 2011 I'm working on a Low Countries theme team. It's not at all easy to find picks who'll pass the obit requirements. I also need a catchy name. regards, Hein De(ath) Lage Landen? Dutch Treats? That wouldn't do, my team contains Belgians and a Luxembourger as well. As you may have noticed, I settled for "Minions of Xuleneb", which sounds as outlandish as its members are. regards, Hein
Rotten Ali 600 Posted December 31, 2011 I'm in too... Had a job and a half with my final choice of... Kirk Douglas or Nelson Mandela? Even changed my mind whilse writing the email submission!
msc 18,439 Posted December 31, 2011 I'm in too... Had a job and a half with my final choice of... Kirk Douglas or Nelson Mandela? Even changed my mind whilse writing the email submission! Neither made my list on the end, though I was cutting down from my Shadow List of 100 names. (If you are going to score low, might as well do it prepared!) Though one of my list did bloody die a few days ago, since the list came in. Thank god for subs!
Spade_Cooley 9,519 Posted December 31, 2011 Team sent. Former Preston North End chairman Maurice Lindsay was the last man cut from my line-up, so if previous form is anything to go by he'll be dead by March.
deadsox 894 Posted December 31, 2011 If you hadn't already selected Minions of X I'd suggest "I've Got Friends in Low Places".

Estuarian Float 97 Posted December 31, 2011 With hours until closing time, Ive still got one theme and my main team to submit. Im kind of nervous about the size this year though. It might cost me some of my uniques.. But other than that worry, DDP 2012 looks like its going to be a party! And I guess I'll reveal the theme team that I already submitted.. its "The Bedsoring '20s". Like "The Roaring '20s" but now theyre old. People born in the 1920s.
