I've done a search here and online and can't find anything regarding Valerie Lush, born Christmas Day 1918. She was Auntie Flo in And Mother Makes Three/Five. Anyone know if she's still with us?

Death Notice from the Perthshire Advertiser indicates she sadly died on 14 May 2016 aged 97: http://www.bmdsonline.co.uk/perthshire-advertiser/obituary/bentley/47084017?s_source=tmsc_pe

A disgrace there has been no coverage of her passing.

Valerie gets her Guardian Obit: https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2016/jul/19/valerie-lush-obituary

She was my first reserve/substitute on my DDP team.

Saw this yesterday and didn't make the connection until I saw the photo. Valerie was the guest star in an episode of The Ghosts of Motely Hall where she played the medium Emily Tiffin. It is worth seeking out for the very clever scene with Peter Sallis and Freddie Jones where they are both holding converstions with her but Peter Sallis is unaware the ghost is also present. They don't seem to make kids TV that clever and witty (and well cast) anymore.

Thought she had died years ago.

Actors on twitter reporting the death of Black Beauty star William Lucas. He was in everything from The Prisoner to Last of the Summer Wine. He appeared in the Doctor Who story Frontios as Range after his friend Peter Arne, who was originally cast, was murdered before filming.

A DDP Qualifying obit will appear at some point.

This sent me scurrying to the SHBD masterlist but sadly no hit for William.

Ricky Callan, Scottish actor who appeared in Still Game, Taggart and Rebus, has died aged 54. He had been suffering from diabetes for years. http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/news/7246446/Still-Game-stars-pay-tribute-to-former-cast-member-Ricky-Callan-who-died-aged-54.html?CMP=spklr-_-Editorial-_-TWITTER-_-ScottishSun-_-20161011-_-News-_-615374761

Biggest role seems to have been Alan in The Creatives.

He appears to have been in two of the episodes of Taggart I've not seen. Admittedly, that's most of them after...2003 or so.

Supermarket Sweep dude? If so, Spade pointed out a few months back. That he was ill, not that he was dead.

On 1 January 2015 by the looks of Spade's post. He's survived quite a bit longer. The recent update on his Twitter shows just how chipper but obviously ill he was just a month ago.

Just not sure he's high profile enough for a national obit, but I've been surprised before. I do know who he is, but I guess he's supporting role fodder for the vast majority.

Slightly more than a few months, then! Time flies.

Yeah, he was a final ten cut for my DDP side both last year and this year. Definitely survived a lot longer than most men of his age would have with that much cancer.

The above is a local page, which like with the BBC's local pages doesn't count for DDP purposes.

Can't tell differences between national and local pages on ITV unlike the BBC, which I can tell.

Ok, the easy way is if the story is itv.com/news followed by the date, it's national news. If it's itv.com/news followed by an area or region and then the date, it's local. The first qualifies, the second doesn't.

John Carson has apparently died, one of those supporting actors who seemed to pop up in everything over the years from The Avengers to Hammer House of Horror to bloody Doctors. Confirmed by tweeters in the know. And yes, he was in Doctor Who - Snakedance, for those who care.

I completely forgot about that post. Quite a few have since died in the last year.

Zara Nutley, who was best known for supporting roles in Mind Your Language and Never the Twain, apparently is in a nursing home but there is no listed date of birth or even year. Does anyone know?

June 12, 1926 (age 86) is the info I was able to find

Could have sworn she had her own thread. Anyway, someone seems to have discovered that she died in October 2016: http://www.britmovie.co.uk/forums/obituaries/120223-zara-nutley-r-i-p.html

DDP pick. Anyone have any further information?

I know. Hopefully like Valerie Lush, she will get a belated obit. Formidable actress.
