Joey Russ 7,220 Posted January 30, 2018 I got to say, I do have to feel bad for drol right now. Four hits before the end of January is no way to go in the Hare’s Pool...
YoungWillz 21,024 Posted January 31, 2018 Back end of January and another Wildcard/Joker falls. Hauxwell? Hauxill more like. POINTS!

At the moment, you are getting date of notification points, but that may change if a firmer date is nailed down.
YoungWillz 21,024 Posted January 31, 2018 And on the basis of this, Hauxwell's death is 30 January:

YoungWillz 21,024 Posted February 2, 2018 Three teams thought Barys Kit would last the majority of the year. He didn't. Come on guys, this game isn't rocket science...
YoungWillz 21,024 Posted February 6, 2018 msc is throwing wild punches trying to win this one. Stokes' death is another early hit here...
YoungWillz 21,024 Posted February 9, 2018 Nine teams gave Liam Miller a shot...yes, that's nine in a row.... Just in time for the update in a few hours.....

YoungWillz 21,024 Posted February 10, 2018 Two teams have joined the race with 8 teams still in the changing room, pulling up their socks. Top two have lost a fifth of their teams already. Lots of jostling below. At this rate, one hit for me in August and I'll win this thing....
YoungWillz 21,024 Posted February 14, 2018 3 teams are in perpetual opposition to big points, having picked Tsvangirai.
Sir Creep 7,070 Posted February 15, 2018 Somewhat interesting only 2 team's Jokers have dropped the other foot so far (if I'm reading the update correctly).
drol 11,916 Posted February 15, 2018 6th hit with Tsvangirai. All ok till my joker still breathes. And he's not José José as most of you are thinking!
YoungWillz 21,024 Posted February 15, 2018 6 hits by now equals 1 hit at the beginning of May. Yikes! Anyway, any hit is a hit and points. Just too early to sail into leads....
YoungWillz 21,024 Posted February 20, 2018 Three teams imagined Catherine Nevin serving out her time until late in the year. Sadly, like her, their chances of that have now died.
YoungWillz 21,024 Posted February 21, 2018 Eleven teams seem to have met their match as Billy Graham meets his maker. Pointage awarded.
YoungWillz 21,024 Posted February 23, 2018 No No, Nanette, you were supposed to go later in the year. Fabray is a unique hit on this pool, just an hour or so before the updated leaderboard.

YoungWillz 21,024 Posted February 24, 2018 We now have a full leaderboard with everyone named. drol still acting as pacemaker, nip and tuck between him and msc. As a result mainly of Billy Graham's demise, 5 more teams have jumped out of the bleachers and on to the racetrack. Meantime, it must be something about gamerunners, as Deathray and yours truly decide that a smoke and watching the entire run of Game of Thrones with Pedro67 in the common room is preferable to being out and about on a track. In this weather? Are you guys crazy? Anyway, the March Hares are revving their engines...how will this affect the next leaderboard in a fortnight?
YoungWillz 21,024 Posted February 27, 2018 Sufficient QO material for this pool as Lewis Gilbert directs one team up the leaderboard.
CaptainChorizo 1,977 Posted February 27, 2018 Lucked out that I somehow forgot to include my perrenial pick of Lewis Gilbert this year since he went so early.
YoungWillz 21,024 Posted March 1, 2018 Vanessa Lafaye writes not so much a book but a short story of points for two teams.
msc 18,436 Posted March 1, 2018 27 minutes ago, YoungWillz said: Vanessa Lafaye writes not so much a book but a short story of points for two teams. So, I discovered her as a potential pick in November, and thought "Hmm, unique?" Then you named her on the forum, so she went off my DDP team. Then I put her back on it as my gut feeling was telling me her outlook was grim. Then I dropped her due to the super drug (Superdrug?) she was using which held her illness at bay. However, I thought "maybe I was right and it tails off at the end of the year" so picked in this just in case. Then I find out in mid-Feb her superdrug has stopped working entirely, so add her to the Cup team, only for her to die on the 28th, thus being too early for the Hares and the Cup. Nae luck at all. Her, I mean, not me. RIP. Although, I think the above is likely a lesson in not second guessing your own instincts or something.
