I like Some of the editions such as David Rockefeller Sir Nicholas Winton and Boutros Boutros Ghali but I found there where a lot of people I hadn`t heard of and seem a bit obscure. There are also people like Charles Aznavour who are very weak candidates.I also think that Jimmy Carter and Betty White are too active to be good Deathlist material.

Shouldn't these threads be posts in the "Who should be on the 2015 Deathlist thread?", I can envisage a million shadow deathlist threads which seems pointless.

On the basis that those 50 names are HIS choices and not names that he thinks should be on the official list then, no.

If people want to have their own shadow list and post them up on this thread why shouldn't they? Its not like the board is going to be clogged up is it.

But then there's already a thread they and he can use http://www.deathlist...?showtopic=8439

Perhaps they should be merged and renamed shadow lists by one of our kind mods/admins?

Amazing....Roundabout 50% (24 from 50) from my personal DL were taken into the official DL 2015. Let's see if this will be a good reference :)

In good time before January ends, I can proudly announce my first correct prediction :)

the former German president (1984-1994) Richard von Weiszäcker died today in Berlin. He was 94 years old.

My personnel Goal in 2015 is to land at least 12 matches (one hit every month or every fourth one off my list this year 12/50 minimum)

:nerd: Yes, you`re absolute right, of course thats 48%.

By the way: Does anybody know if Henri Young is still alive?

He`s the one who managed to escape from alcatraz (Movie: Murder in the First played by Kevin Bacon) ?? Unfortunetely I could not find anything on Wikipedia :(

If he is still alive, he would now be 103 years old and therefore a fantastic candidate for DL.

Alcatraz History says: When his Federal sentence expired in 1954, he was turned over to the Washington State Penitentiary at Walla Walla to begin a life sentence for an earlier murder conviction. In 1972, he was released from Washington State Penitentiary, but he jumped parole and, according to Washington State authorities, his whereabouts are unknown.

Chances are he died on the run.

This is a touchy subject. Let's just say that there are some official MoSs that recommend using "actor(s)" for both males and females.

When the Observer and the Guardian published their new joint style guide last year, this clause appeared: "Use for both male and female actors; do not use actress except when in name of award, eg Oscar for best actress. (...) Tellingly, the performers' union Equity has no policy on this. "We don't feel there is a consensus," said a spokesman. "In fact, the subject divides the profession."
